Creating Native Landscapes. Growing Better Gardens.
Our team at Earthgirl Gardens has been proudly serving the Wilmington, North Carolina community for many years, and we believe in celebrating the beauty of the local environment. We specialize in creating high-end, environmentally friendly landscape designs using primarily native southeastern plants — we want our gardens to act as welcoming habitats for local birds and pollinators.
With more than 15 years of hands-on experience in horticulture, landscape design, nursery production, and project management, I bring a practical understanding of plants from the nursery to the finished landscape.
At Earthgirl Gardens, we design thoughtful residential and commercial landscapes that work with the natural character of the site. Our experience includes planting design, grading, pool design, drainage, irrigation, stormwater management, hardscape, plant selection, estimating, and managing projects from concept through installation.
Our focus is on native and well-adapted plants, healthy ecosystems, and landscapes that provide beauty, habitat, and lasting value. With a particular knowledge of the plants and growing conditions of coastal North Carolina, we create landscapes that are designed for the place, not simply placed in it.

Today, Susie combines her formal horticulture education with more than 15 years of hands-on experience to create native environments and habitats that connect people with nature.
